Zacky is a caring, dinosaur and Spiderman loving, nine year old who has food allergies. His personal journey has taught him and his family a lot so far with so much more to learn. He hopes to share his story to help create awareness and education about what it is like having food allergies

Zacky’s Bill
The Zacky bill was introduced to CA state legislation in 2022 and was signed into law by Governor of California!
This legislation would require the California Department of Education (CDE) to create a resource guide for local education agencies to protect pupils with food allergies. Specifically, it would food on best practices to ensure any food served or offered is accurately labeled. It would provide guidelines on best practices and training of school staff, administrator and teacher on the understanding of food allergies, as well as recognizing of symptoms of and the proper response to food allergic reactions. This would give parents and guardians the ability to monitor their child’s allergy and increase communication between parents, students, and school administrators. Local educational agencies would be encouraged to follow these guidelines.
